June 12, 2014 Deltaville

We woke up this morning in Hampton to find dense fog. We had planned on leaving at 6:00 AM to go 54 miles to get to Deltaville before some afternoon weather but the fog held us up until 8:00. We left with 1-2 mile visibility with times down to a 1/2 mile. With radar running we headed down the Norfolk ship channel for a few miles turning north up Chesapeake Bay about 5 miles off the western shore. About an hour out an approaching thunder storm caught up with us causing a rough ride and rain all the way to Deltaville. We will spend a week in Deltaville.
